Hey everyone! I know there’s a front sensor behind the rear view mirror. Can I still mount a dash cam on the windshield, or will it mess with the sensor? Thanks in advance!
It’ll be fine.

How will it not interfere with the sensor?

What makes you think it will interfere?

I was worried the dash cam might block the view of the sensor, like it being in the sensor’s field of view. Thanks for the reply though!

Tell your parents the internet says it won’t cause any issues.

The sensor and camera are behind the large black box above the rearview mirror. If you avoid blocking that box or placing the camera outside the windshield, it should be fine. Actually, it’s recommended to place the dash cam behind the mirror for the best angle, plus it keeps it out of your direct line of sight.
No problem

The sensor is behind a plastic cover, so you can’t put anything in front of it on the inside. I have my dash cam to the right of the rearview mirror, and it’s been fine.
Honda tech here: We’ve seen a few rare cases of interference, usually from toll passes, not dash cams. I installed mine behind my wife’s rearview mirror (on a 22 CRV EX), and no issues so far.
You’ll be totally fine. I have a 2-channel dash cam right under the sensing camera, and it works great. It has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth built in, and I haven’t had any interference. Even my radar detector, which is close to it, works fine. Lots of people mount accessories near it without problems.
