Brand new Civic Hybrid engine sounds like it's ticking... is this normal?

Not sure if this model has a high-pressure fuel pump, but it sure sounds like one. Usually nothing to worry about, though.

Yeah, that’s the direct injection injectors. These newer Hondas are just loud like that.

Yep, that’s just how it is with direct injection. The pressure is way higher compared to older engines.
