Sharing some thoughts on my EF and hoping to have more fun trips than dealing with repairs this time around.
I’ve learned it’s better to fix everything all at once with older cars. If one front control arm is going, the other one is probably close to going too. If the whole front suspension is bad, just replace both the front and rear. It’s better to pay the $3k upfront and not worry about it for the next 10-20 years.

I just finished the under-chassis work last month. Everything seemed fine for a few weeks, but now the electricals are failing. Took it to the dealer but they refused to fix it, assuming they don’t have the parts. Now I’m looking for a good electrician before I move on to body and paint work.
