They won’t burn oil if you take care of them. People act like it’s a big issue, but it’s only a problem if you don’t change the oil regularly. My 2004 Accord with 210k miles has had zero engine or transmission problems.
I have a 2004 with 210k miles and no issues. I’ve only had to replace an alternator and the ignition switch. Hondas are known for ignition switch problems, but I rebuilt mine for $90. After 2005, I think the timing chain changed to a belt, and they switched to a chain again in 2012. Those chains will last the life of the car. I’ve never had any oil-burning issues. Best car I’ve ever owned, and I will always stick with Honda or Acura.
