Tried my hand at spray painting the rims on my 2005 CRV. What do you think?
Looks pretty decent if you squint a bit.

Good enough for me haha.
You did the whole thing right with primer, paint, and clear coat. Honestly, if you cleaned off the surface rust well, these should last a while. Looks great to me! I did something similar on the spare for my old truck.
Haha, my friend in high school did this too, but left the wheels on the car while painting. His first few stops after were a bit of a mess.

Lmao, classic mistake.
Nobody likes to admit it, but this is kinda how black rims got popular. Back in the late 90s and early 2000s, broke kids would just spray paint their old or beat-up rims black. I did the same thing on my s13 more times than I can count.
What’s up with those tires? They look like balloons.

Yeah, I’m curious too. Anyone know the PSI on those?

Pretty sure they’re filled to the max.
@Miko
Never seen anything like it. Kinda cool, though.

Definitely all the way full.

Yep, that’s my guess too.

Classic iMove tires, haha.
Looks good, man. I did something similar on my XJ Cherokee rims. Turned out alright.
You should think about getting some better tires while you’re at it.

Yeah, I actually got two flats recently. I replaced the front ones already and plan to get the rear ones done soon, along with the spare.
Smart move using the cards to mask off the tires.
Did you sand them down first or just go straight for the paint?

I just knocked off the surface rust, mostly around the lugs. Didn’t go too hard on it.
