Anyone tried installing ambient lighting in their 2011 Hatchback… what do you think?

Why would you use it? I prefer to keep the inside of my car as dark as possible when driving at night so I can see better, it’s less distracting.

It’s just for the ambiance. At night, I turn down the brightness. The strips are placed low so they don’t bother me at all.

I don’t have any in my car, but I can see how they’d be useful. Been in situations where I’ve had a party in my car lol.

They look really cool from the outside. Just avoid blue and red lights on there, or you’ll probably get stopped, and no one wants to deal with that.

Thanks, and yeah, red and blue flashing could get me into trouble.

Hot box it with the ambient lights.

I did a small portion on the center console between the armrest and stereo on my 10th-gen Accord. It’s subtle, and I enjoy it. Looks good. Just not the rainbow colors lol.

Thanks! The rainbow was just for pictures

Everyone has different tastes. I just like to make my car feel more modern.

Not sure if ‘modern’ is the word you were going for.

Well, you can now get ambient lighting as a factory option on new cars, so I’d call it modern to have this feature.

Looks cool but I’d just go for a solid color and make it less bright.

Gives me Mercedes vibes haha. Is it a 2.2 diesel?

It’s petrol. Check the fuel gauge.

How much did it cost you? I’ve been thinking about doing the same.

~30$

Looks nice, but I’d go for a single color instead.

I used the rainbow mode just for demonstration. I actually stick with purple.
