Good move, it’ll definitely make thieves think twice, but just don’t misplace those keys. That would ruin your day .

Haha, for sure! I actually bought two sets of keys…one I’ll keep in the trunk and the other in a safe spot.
@Jensen
Just be careful. Sometimes thieves break in and search the glove box or trunk, so maybe keeping it outside the car is a safer choice.

Yeah, but then what happens if you get a flat? You’d end up stuck waiting for someone to bring the key! If they’re determined, they’ll get the wheels either way, locks or not.
@Finley
I just keep mine on my keychain. Less chance of losing it or having it in the wrong spot.

I hid a spare key in a box inside my rear bumper. It’s a safe spot for stuff like this, including wheel lock keys.
Do we really need more than one set of security nuts these days?

Honestly, yeah, seems like it. These days, three sets might be what it takes.

Next thing you know, we’ll have to order them from across the country just to make sure thieves can’t find the same ones.

Totally agree…probably gonna get RimGard next.

Honestly, they don’t do much at all. Project Farm did a video on it, and most locking lugs can be taken off with an extractor socket. Having two sets might be overkill, since they’re either stopped by one, or they have the tool for it anyway.
@Will
The conical locks are harder to get off. I got the Advanced brand from that same video. Most are pretty simple to remove, so I park close to a wall at night to make one side safer.

Yeah, I remember he had a harder time with the conical ones, but still managed to remove them. I’m out in the middle of nowhere in Canada…more worried about bears than missing wheels

Seems like we do, unfortunately.

Yep.
I’d think one would be enough, but if you’re in a place with a lot of car theft, it makes sense.
I’m getting my Advanced wheel locks put on this afternoon. Same setup as yours with factory and Advanced locks on each wheel.
Had them on my last car, too. They’re really tough to remove unless you tack weld them. The dealer tried to sell me a package with Honda locks for $1500, plus $600 for nitrogen in the tires! Who pays that?
@Zayden
Honestly, more people than you’d think pay for that stuff.
I’ve heard that wheel thieves don’t even bother with tire irons; they use special tools. So no matter what you put on, they’ll still find a way to take it off.
