It’s surprising you realised this after buying the car. Was this not obvious during your research?
I had a similar experience at a Tesla Supercharger. It was cheaper than gas for my old Civic, but not by much. I mostly charge at home and don’t do road trips, so it works for me. But yeah, EVs aren’t for everyone. Cold weather makes the range even worse, and heating eats into it too.
In Florida, we have fast chargers from FPL that cost $0.30 per kWh. Charging 29.8 kWh would cost you about $8.90.
