I’ve noticed a strange noise for a couple of weeks now, and it’s only getting worse. It happens when I’m driving at 57 mph or faster, but oddly enough, only during the day. At night, the sound is totally gone. Does anyone have any ideas about what might be causing this?
I’ve had something similar happen before. It might be the window bouncing a bit inside the door panel.
Oh wow, I thought I was the only one with this problem! I don’t know what’s causing it either, but you’re definitely not alone.
Do you know where exactly the noise is coming from? For me, it sounds like it’s coming from near the center console, kind of closer to the passenger side, so I thought maybe it was something in the glove box rattling around. It even happens at 30 mph sometimes.
@Hollis
For me, it sounds closer to the window. At first, I thought it might be wind, but now I’m really not sure.
Wow, I’m honestly surprised I’m not the only one dealing with this mysterious noise. Someone out there, please help us figure it out .

Where do you hear it? I hear it mostly near the passenger-side window and a bit on the driver’s side too, but not as much.
@Spencer
I’m thinking it might be my passenger-side rain guard. Maybe there’s a weak spot in the adhesive causing it.
Sounds like a typical Honda issue.
Sometimes it’s the door or window seals making noise. Try putting a bit of silicone lube on them to see if that helps.

Thanks, I’ll give that a shot .
Could be something with the door or the B pillar. That’s where noises like that often come from.
Maybe there’s a vampire hiding under your wheel well during the day? They could be dragging their cape along the road. At night, they’re out flying around, so you wouldn’t hear it then.
You might want to try narrowing down some possibilities:
Does it start or stop at specific speeds?
Do you feel like something’s loose anywhere? Maybe the wheel or something rattling?
Have you opened the door to check or looked under the car? There could be a lot of reasons for a noise like this, so it’s hard to pinpoint.
Edit: The seal there looks a bit loose. Did someone maybe try to get into your car?
Is your AC on? Sometimes something in the fan can cause noises too.
@Vitt
The noise usually starts around 58 mph or higher, and it stops when I start braking. I’ve checked around, but I don’t see anything obvious causing it.
@Vitt
The noise seems to be coming from the passenger side where I pointed in the video, so I don’t think it’s the AC, and nobody has tried to break into my car.

The fan is located behind the glovebox.
Edit: Could it be a wheel bearing issue?

@Vitt
Thanks, I’ll check it out .
Could it be distracted driving?
Next time you hear it, try pressing against the window with your elbow to see if it goes away.
