$5000 Honda? How is that even possible?

My mom was looking at cars and found a brand new Honda listed for $5000. It’s definitely a mistake, but still pretty funny.

It’s like when people put ‘$1000’ or ‘free’ in used car ads and then mention the real price somewhere in the description.

I hate those ads.

Just call them up and get really mad when they don’t honor their ridiculous price.

Go ahead and make them stick to that price. It’s not the only price mistake on their site.

It actually says at the bottom that there could be pricing errors. So, nothing’s going to happen here.

They won’t do anything, and they don’t have to.

I know they won’t, but what’s their excuse? Do they really say it’s a typo?

@Gray
A judge would consider this a simple error and let the dealer fix it. They’re not obligated to honor the price, and you’d lose if you sued them.

They won’t, and they don’t have to legally.

Yeah, good luck walking in and trying to buy a $5000 Pilot.

That’s probably the down payment for a lease.

No, it’s a glitch in the discount field due to an API error.

See if they’ll bring it down to $4900.

Haha, good one!

Oh, we’re so sorry for the price mistake. Thanks for pointing it out. Let’s go take a look at it, though. :red_car:

They probably just forgot a ‘0’ when entering the price. Try $54,930.
And no, they don’t have to honor it. It’s not false advertising if it’s not a real ad. Mistakes happen, even at car dealerships.

Wait, they’re human? You must work at a dealership!

$5000 plus an extra $50,000 in dealer fees.
