I have never considered a need for a trash can in my car. I have two kids. My cars (including the Odyssey) are always 30 seconds away from being in sellable condition.

You’re probably in the 0.05% of the population. I don’t have one either, but I just leave a few empty cans or wrappers in the storage containers. It’s a work vehicle, so no time to worry about it.
