There’s an active recall for this issue. Just bring it in, even if it’s broken.

Exactly. I’ve seen a lot of these cars with this issue at my dealership. You can bring it in for warranty, and they’ll fix it without a problem.
@Scout
Same here, lol.
Honda recall 24-012. Take it to the dealer. It’s an active recall to inspect it, and if it’s shattered, they’ll replace it for you.

Omg, thank you!
There’s a recall on them for this. The issue is that the heating element in the rear glass touches the adhesive, which causes it to shatter. It’s a free fix, just get it towed to the dealership.
This happened with my Civic’s windshield too, lol. It randomly shattered while it was parked overnight.
Yeah, there’s a recall for HR-Vs due to an issue with the window sealant not being applied right. Some of the sealant got on the defroster’s heating element, creating a hotspot that caused the glass to shatter for no apparent reason. Your local dealer should be able to fix it, and they might even give you a loaner car while they do it.
You can get it fixed for free at the dealer. It shouldn’t cost you anything.
The recall should save you some money! Just get it to the Honda dealer ASAP!
