I’m thinking about buying this car. It’s been at the dealership for a month, and from all the pictures, it looks really clean. No rust, dents, or dings that I can see.
I originally wanted a newer model (2015-2020), but I’ve read a lot of comments about issues with the CVT and overall performance, so now I’m considering this one instead.
What do you think about the price? Is it fair? Also, what should I watch out for before buying? I’d appreciate any advice or experiences you can share.

Make sure the 100k mile maintenance is done. That includes spark plugs, ignition coils, and valve adjustments. If it hasn’t been done, it could cost around $800, plus regular stuff like transmission fluid, brake fluid, and coolant changes.
@Rory
You could do all of that yourself for way less money. It’s not hard, just takes time. I do my valves and plugs every 50k miles and have swapped the coils twice already.

If it’s a Midwest car, you need to check underneath for rust. Pay close attention to the front of the rear wheel wells and around the spare tire. Those are common rust spots. If those areas are clear, it could be a great buy. I had a 2010 that I loved and now have a 2018, which is just as great.

If they drop it by $1k, that’s a great deal. I paid $7500 for my 2009 sport manual with over 120k miles, but the used car market is rough right now.
Don’t forget, dealerships often add fees on top of the listed price, so $8600 might not be the final cost.
Thanks! The colour definitely stood out to me too.
If you go for it, consider getting a ceramic coat or waxing it often, especially the roof. Honda had clear coat issues with this era, and my roof is almost white now because of it.
